THIS IS WHY I SHIP THEM.
First, when he asks her what happened, he looks genuinely concerned, he really wants her to be alright. He looks so ready to offer her a shoulder to cry on before she tells him everything went well and that it’s in fact happy tears because that’s the first baby Juliet has been able to save on the island.
Second, his smile - with the dimples, he looks happy. Genuinely happy, it’s not a cheeky smile or a sassy smile. It’s not a “good for you, whatever, lets move on with this day” smile.
And her smile, do I need to elaborate?
And she calls him James, not Sawyer. It seems like he’s really settled down with her. Later in the same episode, when he brings her the flower - asdasflhasøgfdna, it’s perfect.
This episode is most definitely one of my favorite episodes, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve seen it.
